Grounding Your Body for Optimal Health:

Walking barefoot on the earth has been a key aspect of human and animal life since the beginning of time.  Over the past few generations, humans have created footwear that insulates us from the natural energies of the Earth. These shoes may protect our feet, but they also deprive us of the free electrons available from the ground.  “Grounding” our bodies with shoe free exposure has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect that is required for optimal health.

Nature is a Healing Source: 

Society today has more medical technology than ever. This is good, but there is no replacement for the healing forces found naturally on Earth. Nature itself has a powerful healing foundation. The sun produces vitamin D-3, plants and vegetation give off anti-oxidants, minerals and chlorophyll among other things. The Earth provides a powerful form of free electrons that are available to everyone if we’d merely expose our bodies to the natural energies present on the ground.

Our body is a living matrix of energetically charged biochemical circuits that are charged and organized by the activity of the central nervous system. The Earth is regulated by subtle but forceful electrical circuits. The electrical relationship between the Earth and our central nervous system helps to program trillions of biochemical reactions.

Earth’s electrical rhythms:

The Earth’s electrical rhythms perform a significant role in the natural day-to-day rhythms that govern our sleep cycle, energy production, mood and hormones.  Studies taken on people fully detached from this natural electrical rhythm have shown irregular circulating cortisol levels indicating atypical stress responses.  Additionally, detached people often fight issues such as chronic pain, hormone disruption, insomnia, headaches and fatigue among other things.

Human have always joined with the Earth’s electrical energy through our feet.  This is demonstrated by the 1300 individual nerve endings per square inch on the soles of our feet. Paralleled to other parts of the body, that is an incredibly high concentration of nerve enrichment. This is necessary for coordination, stability and balance of the foot but also to absorb the electrical energy present on the Earth.

The Problem with Modern Shoes:

Modern shoe soles have disconnected humans from the electrical energy of the ground with insulating shields. Most people go weeks to even months without ever having direct skin to ground contact for longer than a minute. These people live completely disconnected from the planet which leads to a dysrhythmia within the body& mind.

The human body has a very similar makeup to the Earth in that they are both a combination of water and minerals. This blend is what conducts electrical currents. Our bodies were made to be connected with the Earth and this intelligent electrical energy has extremely powerful effects on our well-being and health.

Earthing Basics:

  • Avoid wearing shoes whenever possible
  • Walk or run barefoot outside on grass, sand or soil.  Moist ground or grass is the perfect electrical conductor.
  • Expose any part of the body to the Earth, ground or any natural waters like lakes, streams or oceans.  Walking in salt water is one of the best techniques for grounding due to the combination of water, electrolytes and earth.
  • Sit outside barefoot with your feet on grass or soil.
  • Sit or lean on the limb or trunk of a tree to absorb some of its natural electricity.

 

The benefits of earthing or grounding include better internal stress management and reduced inflammation. The result is better sleep, less pain, heightened immunity and better state and quality of mind. Many individuals report significantly better creativity, memory, innovativeness and spiritual direction after spending time joining with the Earth’s natural frequencies.
